Investment and sponsorship
We have already secured employer investment into the Academy to support the initial launch in the North East with Nissan’s investment in Gateshead College. Semta have made a significant contribution to the establishment of the Academy by investing £3m of employer contributions. The Academy has also secured contributions from public sector bodies including the Regional Development Agencies and the Department of Trade and Industry.
We will secure further employer investment into the Academy as we establish each of the regional hubs.
