Background
Over the next 10 years the Financial Services sector faces a number of skills challenges to ensure it remains globally competitive. We currently have a shortage of more than 400,000 people particularly in areas such as customer service, administration and back office. As the industry grows, managerial, professional, and sales and customer service roles will be most affected. In many areas our workforce demographics mean there is a real need to develop skills amongst new workers and encourage them into financial services careers.
The National Skills Academy for Financial Services will achieve a step change in the relevance and volume of skills training, for both publicly and privately financed programmes.
In response to these challenges, the employer-led National Skills Academy for Financial Services will achieve a step change in the relevance and volume of skills training, for both publicly and privately financed programmes.
